The design of the Mucon K Valve, with its flexible diaphragm, allows for irregularly shaped objects to pass through the valve while providing a dust tight pressure seal. It provides an effective and hygienic way for pipes and tubes to pass through a wall while delivering a reliable seal between rooms.
The Mucon K Valve’s rugged construction, which is ideal for frequent open/close operation is made from machined and polished 316 stainless steel and features an iris diaphragm made from durable EPDM pharma grade rubber. The diaphragm is resistant to abrasion, frequent and rough handling, and operation elements.
The Mucon K Valve is available in 3 bore sizes – 6”, 8” and 10”. It is very easy to clean and may be removed from service without any tools. All the parts can be autoclaved and the diaphragm can be easily replaced. It is also available with Tri-Clover compatible connection flanges which are ideal for cold room wall mounting.
